On Joy & Serenity, I’m always sharing things to improve our human lives – but what about our animal friends and pets?
Well, this was a journey I was definitely on with Merkaba for a while, and the path, as horrible as it was in the beginning, came with new insights, clarity, and lessons that I’m more than happy to share with the world.
If you ever felt the desire to give your pets the best possible life they could have or if you ever felt like there was something just a little bit off about treating your pets’ ailments with regular medication, then this article is exactly for you!
Let me start with a backstory because it’s what kicked off this whole journey – and in this way, I’m also honoring what Merkaba went through. If his story helps a single other soul, I know my little man will appreciate that greatly.
So who is Merkaba?

Merkaba is my gorgeous little hairless Chinese Crested! You might have seen him in one of my yoga videos where he sometimes comes to stretch with us 🙂
He has always been one of the sweetest, active, and healthiest doggos I have ever had the privilege of being a dog mom to. We basically spend every day together and we’re immensely close, so when I say that I know this guy extremely well, I’m not exaggerating.
In spring 2025, right around the time he turned 10, he went from being a happy and energetic cutie to a weak mess of extreme limping, pain, nausea, and lethargy. The shift was sudden and it was intense.
My boy could hardly walk and even just existing was agony for him.
I remembered that ten days prior to the first onslaught of full-body aches and limping, I pulled a tick off him (and another one two weeks before that). My intuition immediately said that something was wrong with him on the energetic level, followed by the whisper that he must have picked up some sort of tick-borne disease.
So my husband and I took him to the vet – at this point Merkaba was still mostly just limping and moving as if he was walking on shards of glass. I remembered reading somewhere that this is a telltale sign of lyme, but the vet wasn’t convinced because Merkaba, to them, didn’t look otherwise sick.
They did the blood tests regardless, but they came back negative for lyme. So they prescribed some pain killers and told me we should check back a little bit later, because if it isn’t something the pain killers will fix, then it has to be arthritis because he’s old.
First of all, old? Bitch, please. He barely turned ten! And his lineage has dogs living upward from 16 years easily!
Aside from dismissing my intuition, that attitude itself was beyond off-putting because they saw Merkaba as his age and not through the lens of dealing with a dog who had been perfectly active and vital just hours before the limping all of the sudden started.
The meds they prescribed worked somewhat. Merkaba was still weak, but at least he was moving. Then a couple of days after they ended, while my husband was at work, shit took a turn for the worst. I asked my mom to drive me to emergency vet because Merkaba was just struggling so much. Every single movement was agony for him. He felt nauseous. Couldn’t stop crying. He was shaking uncontrollably. He was barely able to stand on his own.
It still hurts me to say, but guys, he looked like he was about to die.
The emergency vet gave him an anti-nausea shot and more pain meds. Little man managed to calm down eventually and at least was able to exist, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that if I didn’t do something, I was going to lose him.
And no fucking way was I losing him when, deep down, I knew what was wrong!
We returned to our (now former) regular vet again, told them what happened. The blood tests again came back negative, even though my intuition was telling me louder than ever that he needed to be treated for tick-borne diseases. They insisted it was arthritis.
They even recommended I put Merkaba on a monthly shot that would block his pain receptors and allow him to live supposedly pain-free for as long as he would.
At this point, my intuition wasn’t just speaking to me. It shouted do not fucking settle for this. Do not accept that treatment.
Unsure what other options I had, I reached out to Merkaba’s breeder, who is thankfully a fellow spiritual woman and someone I trust.
She told me one of her girls was skin and bones, refusing to eat, but a couple of bioresonance sessions with Klavdija from Medivet sorted her out. Best thing, the therapies were done at a distance!
Since we all know energy work is equally efficient whether done in person or at a distance, I was beyond thrilled that distance healing was an option. Especially because I knew Merkaba could relax so much more at home without the stress of driving him to an unknown environment thrown into the mix.
I reached out that same day – and it was one of the best action steps I have taken in my entire life.
Merkaba’s fist therapy immediately showed signs of his system being burdened by borreliosis (aka lyme). And it brought up some other things too – like his inner state of severe despair and being in the state of wanting to give up.
Even after that first healing, the difference in him was instantaneous, but we continued to treat him with regular sessions for all the things the little man brought up, and by the time summer was over, my boy was back to being his incredible, healthy and happy self.
At this point, I have to add that it was beyond remarkable, watching Merkaba during his sessions. As soon as they started, he would surrender to the energy and just take it all in. The more sessions we did, the more he leaned into the process, and as he got better, he started thoroughly enjoying it.
Bioresonance became a kind of spa day for him.

In the fall, however, when we had to take him to get his mandatory rabies shot, he experienced another issue I wouldn’t wish on anyone – the vet (yes, that same vet I have since this incident sworn to never return to) gave him a different rabies shot than the one he always got. And they did it without even informing me.
As soon as we were out of the office, he looked a bit nauseous – I knew something was off, but I wasn’t sure if it was the stress from being at that same vet or something else. Once we got home it all went downhill. Merkaba had a bad reaction to the shot, was throwing up, shaking…
I rushed him to a different vet right before closing time, and they immediately gave him an anti-nausea shot and told me that yes, this particular medicine has been known to cause bad side-effects like this somewhat more commonly than the one Merkaba usually got. Not life-threatening stuff, but highly unpleasant.
They scheduled him again for the next day to get another anti-nausea shot to help support him while the histamine overflow in his body calmed down, and in the meantime, I reached out to Klavdija again.
She was stunned by how weakened Merkaba’s system was, since the last time she worked on him (which was I think just two or three weeks prior and he had been in excellent shape). Cue another round of sessions that Merkaba loved to do, and he was once more back to being a happy and healthy doggo.
At this point, his results aren’t even showing the need for future sessions any longer, but I do still reach out every once in a while when I get the intuitive nudge that he’s ready for a session.
Just this past week, he had two basically back to back therapies with Klavdija. I’m convinced those intuitive nudges to contact her were actually coming from him because he was ready to release some of the things he previously hadn’t…and now he’s in the clear again.
Honestly, it reminds me a whole lot of us, how we might have a round of deep shadow work and releasing when the subconscious, our body, our soul, is ready to let something go…and then we can cruise through life again until the next moment arrives for us to dive deeper.
I feel that this is how Merkaba is operating now. He’ll let me know when he needs something. And I’ll reach out to Klavdija who always takes the best care of him.
Having an incredible bioresonance practitioner in Merkaba’s life feels aligned. And the more I thought about it over this past year and a half, the more I realize just how right this is. We’re all energy beings, with animals being even more connected to the earth and to the invisible forces around us. They are the epitome of natural. They don’t have our vices or our stresses. So why are we healing them as we do humans?
Now I’d have quite a bit to say on the human front as well, but that’s not the subject of today’s article.
Right now, I’m focused on animals. On these absolutely beautiful, pure souls who respond so much to the energy around them and within them.
They don’t have our blockages, our reservations, our doubts. Instead, they sense and they know.
So when I was considering my past companions who have since transcended into the spirit realm, when I was contemplating this bigger picture of how we’re just addressing the symptoms within our animal friends instead of the root cause, let alone creating or supporting balance within them…
I realized just how vital energy work is for our pets.
We’re exposing them to an environment and energies they were never meant to live in. And then, when the misalignments, imbalances, and burdens show up as issues or diseases, we throw chemicals at them? How in the world could we possibly make things better with such an approach?
Before I started my studies to become a Reiki Master, I got trained in Animal Reiki healing. I wasn’t a stranger to energy work, but I had never done it in this particular way. Let me tell you, the first time I did a Chakra scan on Merkaba, I cried. There was something so beautiful in sensing this vital, strong, yet at the same time serene energy flow within him. And that was when all of these insights that had been building up within me truly took root.
Whether working with meridians, Chakras, Vayus…whether it’s through bioresonance, Reiki, acupressure, mudras, crystals, or any other modality, giving our animals the gift of energy work is one of the greatest things we can do.

I regularly do gentle Reiki on Merkaba. I offer him crystals that he loves to rest on and absorb their vibrations. And I mind my energy too. We’re deeply connected, so I make sure to refresh our energetic cords, as well as show up as my best self to my best ability. In my eyes, that is the least I can do to ensure a good life for this sweet and beautiful soul I share my days with.
But most of all, I’m grateful for Klavdija and the bioresonance therapies she offers. They gave Merkaba the life he deserves and I will be eternally grateful to her for it. Eternally, eternally grateful.
So if you have a pet in your life, whether they are currently dealing with something or not, please consider offering them this gift. Bioresonance works on a vast variety of ailments, it works on balancing and strengthening the system, it helps release blockages, traumas…there is literally so much benefit to this practice there is no reason not to give it at least a try.
And I can tell you with absolute certainty, your beautiful companions will thank you for it.
