In this Most life-changing courses and subscriptions series I’m sharing with you the five things that have had a MASSIVE impact on my life. I’m writing about them chronologically, because if you read through it all, you will see how they also connect beautifully together as a whole. Beyond Flexibility by Karin Dimitrovova was one of the first programs I ever invested in…and it was such a game-changer for me.

Despite engaging in many sports throughout my childhood, teenage years, and even beyond, I was a very, very stiff person. And no matter what I did, that restrictive feeling was only getting worse – especially once I began my career as an author, which meant spending a lot of time behind the computer. Eventually, it came to the point where doing any kind of sports no longer felt good to me. My body didn’t like it, and instead of feeling better, I felt worse afterwards.

Later, it became clear to me that my lack of flexibility (and sports no longer feeling good) was also closely tied to living in stress for a prolonged period of time – which is something I’ll get to in the continuation of this series.

But I want to start here. At the beginning of the journey.

Because Beyond Flexibility was the absolute turning point for me.

All right, now let’s return to my old belief that I simply was not a flexible person.

A belief I, in part, took on as my own back when I was practicing ballet as a kid and couldn’t do certain things others were able to…like sit in a straddle with my low back straight. Or do front splits.

What. A. Lie.

Seriously, me believing that level of flexibility just wasn’t something I could ever achieve was the absolute biggest lie.

Because all those things I couldn’t do before? I definitely can now.

Turns out, I just needed the right program.

The beauty of it is that with Karin’s Beyond Flexibility, I didn’t just get so much more mobility and flexibility in my body, but I started feeling better overall in my daily life.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but for me it sure did. My body craved the freedom of being flexible. Life became easier. Movement became easier. Everything simply felt…better.

It has several schedules written out for you to choose from, depending on what your focus is. The focuses range from working on overall mobility to specific things like front splits or backbends.

The practice is really well thought-out, and put together in a way that delivers incredible results. It really is an absolutely brilliant program that covers the entire body. Stick with it, and I promise you’ll come out of it with a much bigger range of motion, mobility, and even strength. Basically all the things that build the foundation for a healthy, supportive body.

Now before I wrap this up, I want to add that I actually have most of Karin’s programs (Reset, Core Play, Inversions) because I love her work so much and I highly recommend them all. But I wanted to showcase Beyond Flexibility in this article because it was the one I took first…and even having done all the others, this one is still where I would recommend starting your journey.

Remember, no matter what you might have believed of yourself and your bodies capabilities in the past, it’s just a narrative. And narratives can be changed.

It doesn’t matter how old you are. It doesn’t matter what experiences you have or might not have.

If you commit to Beyond Flexibility, give yourself grace as you learn and practice, and simply be with your body with love during the classes, your dream results are more than a possibility for you. They’re right there for the taking.

Take it easy if you have to. If your body needs more time, please, give it more time. More repetition.

But trust me, when you start seeing progress fast, you’ll find yourself on a journey you’ll be absolutely in love with.

(For this reason, I highly recommend documenting your journey! Set up your phone, record yourself. And then compare. You might not notice the progress by simply doing the exercises, but when you can see from an external point of view, damn, that’s a powerful thing!)

Honestly, I can’t even imagine going back to my old body. And I have so much gratitude for Karin and her work for giving me the opportunity to live the way I do now!
