Affirmations hack: friendship bracelets with a twist

There’s no denying friendship bracelets have been on the rise and I’m fairly confident that they are here to stay. I mean, why wouldn’t they? They’re cute, fun to make, and basically little bundles of good energy.

So I wanted to share a sweet, adorable hack that will bring your manifesting & brain-rewiring game to the next level.

Affirmation bracelets.

The idea popped into my head as a potent mixture of two desires that I had:

  • I loved, loved, loved all the pretty beaded friendship bracelets I saw and wanted to have some myself
  • I had a super strong desire to create my own crystal bracelets because the stores rarely sold the ones I wanted

And BAM!

I thought to myself, why not create affirmation bracelets and include my favorite crystals too?

Holy freaking Universe did I fall in love with the idea…and immediately went into action.

The very first bracelet I made! Not only are joy and serenity two of my biggest values and desired states, the Joy & Serenity blog and Youtube channel are such a massive component of my dream life, it felt right for this to be my first affirmation bracelet too.
Combined with Amazonite and Howlite crystals, the energy is absolutely perfect!

Now let’s get into the good stuff behind why these bracelets are so potent…

One: We all know that crystals carry vibration. They carry energy. They are some of the most amazing things out there to work with…and as a bonus, they are just so damn beautiful.

Two: Combining crystals with an affirmation amps up the potency.

Three: Carrying an affirmation on your wrist is a brilliant way to expose your conscious and subconscious mind to it.

What do I mean by number three? Let’s dive a bit deeper into this because even more magic is hidden here.

Affirmation crystal bracelet: blessed

First, the bracelet serves as a great reminder to repeat my affirmation to myself. Usually when I put the bracelet on, I’ll at least read the word or words spelled out there. Often I’ll also look at the bracelet at random times during the day and repeat the affirmation in my head. It has become such a habit that I can’t even imagine not doing it.

That’s the more conscious aspect of it.

However, the other side – and this one is extremely important – is that your subconscious mind is always taking in information…even information you aren’t consciously aware of. That’s why you might walk by an ice cream advert (without you consciously picking up on it) and a little later find yourself craving an ice cream. Our subconscious sees everything. So if we have programs out there that will flash affirmation on your screen, if we use the wonderful tool of vision boards as our phone wallpapers to expose ourselves to those desires…

…then let me tell you that wearing your affirmations on your wrists is peak exposure.

affirmation bracelet

We have our hands in our field of vision for so much time during our day. We see them more than we see our computer screens. Or phones. Or even the affirmations or vision boards we have hanging on our walls.

Our wrists are always there with us, and they really are damn visible.

Honestly, I’ve never had this kind of passive subconscious programming of affirmation work faster or more efficiently than when I started wearing the bracelets.

So have some fun. Let your creativity loose.

You can get most of these supplies off Amazon or at your local hobby store and they’re actually a very small investment.

If you don’t feel called to work with crystals, you can absolutely use regular beads, heishi discs, or dried seeds. Anything works, really.

If you are called to work with crystals, however, I love getting my beads from various shops on Etsy. Sometimes when I’m browsing around I’ll see a crystal and feel that ding! go off in my mind, alerting me that I found the right one.

I highly encourage you to make the entirety of this process fun.

And then reap all the beautiful benefits of your beautiful handmade bracelets.

Another bonus: They look really good when matched with other bracelets too!
